about the importance of healthy mind and body connection.
Specializing in working with adolescents, adults, couples and families, Heike addresses a range of issues
and concerns, including relational and emotional challenges, life management, transitions, marital
relationship stress, parenting, codependency, confidence, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and fallout
of narcissistic abuse. She also supports individuals who are dealing with parenting, divorce, blended
families, identity, and communication problems. Heike understands the complexities of divorce and the
trauma that impacts parents and children. She works alongside clients going through those difficult
times and offers support for emotional and spiritual healing.
Using a tailored, client-centered approach, Heike is fully trained in trauma-focused CBT, DBT, ACT and
EMDR. She is also informed in IFS. Through collaborative efforts, she helps clients create
individualized treatment plans that align with their needs and goals. She has a passion for helping others
through positive psychology like acceptance and commitment, which is a form of behavioral therapy
that combines mindfulness skills with the practice of self-acceptance in treating life challenges. Those
challenges may reveal feelings of being depressed, feeling stuck or anxious due to self-limiting beliefs
and self-labeling.
Heike is an Associate Professional Counselor and earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health
